I thought I’d share a little bit about me as the person behind Dusted Ink. Here’s the short version.
I’m a self-employed, work from home, one-man-band Dad. I would consider my strengths to be conceptual thinking, idea generation, creative design and illustration.
I’ve spent two decades working at my craft and my passion for what I do has been a big driver in always pushing my own limits to learn and grow.
I love the wonderful wilderness of my imagination and finding new ways to express myself and deliver on clients needs creatively.
It’s been a ride filled with ups and downs, awesome people, some not so awesome people, hard lessons, difficult challenges, small and big wins, unbelievably cool projects, crazy opportunities and a ton of lived experiences. A real mixed bag of all kinds of weird and wonderful.
I consider myself a lucky man to still be able to create everyday and even though the landscape has changed tremendously over the passed two decades, I’m always looking for new ways to break the mould and get wild with ideas and projects.

Dustin joined our team as logo designer for the rebranded SABC 3 (S3). A channel rebrand is no easy feat and time was not on our side.
Dustin came to the party on this deadline-tight, near miracle, project and we managed to successfully launch the rebranded channel within the client's timelines.
Dustin's role was to come up with a logo; put together a brand guide around the logo; include the do's and don'ts of logo usage, spacing, fonts, stationery, merchandise; and out-of-home material (e.g. billboard layouts).
Dustin worked tirelessly over weekends and in the evenings to ensure we had the elements we needed. He remained on-call for last minute briefs and proved instrumental in leading our design team, often offering our in-house designers motivation and assistance when it was required. The man is a true team player and never loses sight of the end goal.
The team had an awesome time working with Dustin and we look forward to making magic happen again soon. He has definitely become our go-to-guy when it comes to logo designs and brand CI's.
